„The complexity of phisiotherapy never stops facsinating me.“
Dominic first came in contact with physiotherapy when he underwent treatment for his own injured shoulder joint. The functioning of the musculoskeletal system and its therapeutic procedures fascinated him to the point that he became a professional physiotherapist. It provided a way to stay in touch with sports, although from a slightly different angle, while also helping people who have problems with the musculoskeletal system. He completed his Master studies of physiotherapy successfully at the Slovak Medical University in Bratislava.
After two years’ experience in this specialty his focus of interest lies in therapy of vertebral diseases and ergonomics at work, which he considers to be an equally important part of physiotherapy as is the right diagnosis or work with a client during therapy.
He improves his expertise constantly and has participated in specialized courses such as Kinesio taping, taping, classic and sports massage and soft and mobilization techniques, dynamic neuromuscular stabilization in sport, general osteopathic treatment and fascial distortion model. In the future he would like to work with athletes. In FYZIO KLINIK he works as one of the main therapists who conducts examinations of the entire musculoskeletal system. Within the project FYZIO & Work Dominik lectures on healthy sitting poses and ergonomics at work.
